There’s nothing we love more than spending our lazy mornings flicking through our fave interior mags with a good cup of tea.
We’re always on the lookout for inspiration and ideas for both the home and our beautiful store, so we thought we’d collate our own sparks of inspiration in the hope of inspiring you, too.
If you’ve followed us for a while you’ll know that dark and brooding interiors are our bread and butter. It can be daunting however if you’ve not dabbled in darker paint colours or furniture before...
We've put five different styles of dark interiors below which will hopefully inspire you to head over to the dark side. Trust us, although it may seem scary at first, you won’t regret it!
Take the plunge and go the full monty. We’re talking painting your skirting boards, walls, coving and ceiling all in one colour. It creates a seamless, cocooning look. Balance it out with brighter accessories – wall art, books, vases and rugs. By narrowing your focus and styling colours of similar tones, you will make a really impactful display.

This look is very Abigail Ahern-esque – the Queen of maximalist interiors. Dark walls, plenty of greenery, countless textures and shapes - with a touch of quirkiness.
As well as dark and moody, we’re also massive fans of a vibrant colour palette. Although still dark, the bright pops of pink balance out the teal tones, creating a colour combination made in heaven that is completely age-proof.
Navy walls might be a safer option for those of you who might be a little sceptical of going dark. Start by painting one room and see how it makes you feel.
Whether you’re trying to achieve a traditional or dramatic look, navy walls are immediately calming and welcoming.
Transform your room with a dramatic mural. Balance and restraint are key when installing something so impactful - choose furniture to complement the colours rather than creating a contrast. Focus on what you want your visitors to see first.
