NEW LEAF

We know online shopping isn't for everyone (definitely not me by the way- the whole reason for opening the store!) so to lighten the load, just as we promised, we're bringing curated corners of the store directly to you.

We hope it helps provide even just 5 minutes escape from reality...

Just like Spring, 'New Leaf' promises fresh starts, new life and a breath of fresh air.
Spruce up neutrals with a dose of the most restful hue of them all to create a dreamy, sophisticated palette that will never be in or out of fashion...

SHOP THE EDIT

Our own Peta has had her eye on a Magnolia Wall Hanging a while now and all this time at home finally persuaded her. A little different to ours, Peta's home is full of rich neutrals, and combined with her living plants and a few subtle touches the hue, this print works in just right dose of Green for them.
Here are the before and afters...

Note how Peta has not only added a few doses of green, but also added a few touches of black to tie in her bedside lamps, it also keeps the palette grounded and sophisticated
...

Spot the black detailing on the book cover, line drawings and more below...

While the black grounds the look, the very soft and slight addition of dusty pink adds another layer, making the palette complex but not OTT (see how it highlights the warmth in the detailing to the bottom right in the print?)...

Layering the large print with unframed line drawings and books creates more of a curated look rather than using it as a stand alone 'feature' piece; as well as bringing a little more of Petas own personality to the space and the way the hanging works.

This styling also creates a 'less expected' look, i.e. we all expect to see one print mid centre of the wall above a bed (we know it works, we see it all the time), but by drawing the eye up (with the hanging), then back down to the small curation of drawing and books, it instantly creates more interest and is more visually intriguing, creating an overall sense considered styling.

Here's a little video of Peta in action...

What's your verdict? We love it, and we think Luna approves too...

Happy Sunday Eve folks, lots of LD love

XOXO
